Touring Adventures also offers Motorcycle Tours that include additional training
David is a Certified MSF BRC RiderCoach, Certified ATV Safety Institute ATV Trainer, and studying for his MSF Dirt Bike School certification. He began riding the city streets during his senior year in high school, in 1973. His first bike was a 1956 Pan Head chopper which he built with the guidance of a friend. He quickly became interested in Road Racing and not wanting to race in the street he chose Track Racing. His first race bike was a 1972 Susuki GT550 two stroke that he and a buddy stripped down and rebuilt for the track. David ran the AMA Amateur Road Racing circuit from 1975-1979. Since David started riding he has logged just over 500,000 miles of MC travel across 42 states, and is not through logging up miles. He is now riding the backcountry roads logging up miles as fast as he can on his Adventure bike. David currently rides a 2018 1290 KTM Super Adventure S and a 2015 Indian Roadmaster
Ari, an MSF Certified Dirt Bike School Instructor & Certified ATV Safety Institute ATV Trainer started "adventure riding" long before it ever became popular. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Ari's first motorcycle experience started on poor condition dirt and rock roads of the Puerto Rico mountains. The necessity of being able to get from one location to another often depended on him learning how to ride up and down sandy, muddy, and sometimes babyhead gravel roads on his first bike, a 1980 Yamaha DT175 Enduro. As for training people, Ari's first business as a young man was a Scuba Instructor/Guide in Puerto Rico where safety is life and death. Safety training is just in his DNA. Having ridden a multitude of different bikes since his youth, Ari's current ride is a 2017 GS 1200.
Robbye, a Certified BRC Range aid and currently studying to be a MSF Certified DBS instructor, traveled multiple years and thousands of miles as a passenger with her husband David, before she decided to get her own Motorcycle endorsement in 2016. She obtained her M endorsement at Motorcycle Training Center in Magnolia, TX, where David is also a contract BRC RiderCoach. From there she went on to take SO2W's Street Riding Class I and Road Riding Course II, to learn how to Search Evaluate & Execute the necessary skills to safely maneuver her Indian Springfield touring bike through city streets, twisty two lane roads, mountainous elevations, and group riding. In three years Robbye has now traveled over 18,000 miles at David's side covering some of the most twisty, mountainous, and technically challenging roads of New Mexico, Texas Hill Country, Arkansas, and Colorado. She is also one of the Tour Guides for Touring Adventures. Her go to bikes today are a 2018 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S, and a 2017 Indian Chieftain.
